About Johnson Seed & Grain Services

In 2001, Eric and his father Kenny Johnson located in central Iowa near the town of Aplington bought their first semi-tractor and grain hopper. This would compliment their farming operation as well as provide supplement income. That first year the Johnsons began working with a local seed company belting and hauling seed beans. Little did they know, this would lead to many changes over the coming years.

The first grain vac was purchased in 2006 and Eric and Kenny began providing a service vaccing seed beans. In 2009 Eric renamed K & E Johnson Farm Partnership to Johnson Seed and Grain Services. Since then a lot has changed. Not only has the farm operation named Impact Farms LLC (www.impactfarmsia.com) grown but Johnson seed has picked up multiple accounts around Iowa and the Midwest. Keep the bar raised high and being caring has done the company well.

Then in 2012 Eric bought out Kenny Johnson. Over the years, additional grain vacs and semis were added to the business. Today Johnson Seed and Grain employs 20 full and part time employees and operates multiple grain vacs and semis. They vac and haul seed for the major seed companies, haul fertilizer for several commercial accounts, and provide vac and trucking services to many local farmers, elevators and ethanol plants.

With an emphasis on giving, the Eric and Rebecca Johnson Family are thankful for the team they work with and the different relationships that have been established over the years. They partner with a lot of different mission organizations and enjoy doing missions trips in Central America.
