Iowa and Illinois grain handling is where most of our work is done at this point for Johnson Seed handling. We have trained caring people that waste no time in getting work done. Our crew of 20 plus people have a lot of experience. Our grain vacs are maintained by seed handling professionals at Johnson Seed who have a lot of years of grain vaccing experience so you keep high grain quality while being able to get jobs done fast.

Our team of people get multiple comments throughout each year on how nice, thorough, and professional we are. All our grain vacs are lined for gentle seed handling. The airlocks are checked regularly to keep tolerance within specs on our grain equipment. Whether you are a seed company, grain elevator, ethanol plant, or farmer we offer a vac to fit your need. If you need full service or a rental we can help. We have been in the vaccing business since 2006 and continue to grow every year. In seed alone, we currently handle the equivalent of nearly 50% of beans you see planted in Iowa annually. We keep investing into the infrastructure at Johnson Seed so we can maintain equipment year around efficiently. Since 2008 we have added 18,000 square ft of heated space that includes offices, wash bay, parts room, etc.

Grain Vac Rental

We offer grain vac rental around the midwest. Once a customer almost always people are coming back to rent our vacs again. They are fast and have self-propelled engines. Each customer gets the amount of piping needed. Even when renting vacs, grain and seed quality is important to Johnson Seed & Grain. To ensure grain is handled properly, our vacs are inspected often to ensure great performance.

Grain Hopper Services

Along with our fleet of vac trucks, Johnson Seed has a large fleet of semis that with grain hoppers that haul 930 to 1130 bushels of beans or 1000 to 1200 bushels of corn. When a customer needs vaccing done quite often trucks are sent along with the vac. Some customers do provide their own trucks. We have our own fleet of trucks but also have access to large amount of more trucks if needed. A big part of Johnson Seeds business is lining up the right amount of trucks for the job so that we get in and out of the job in a timely manner.
